Buro Happold’s Leeds office opened in 1989 to make the most of business opportunities in Leeds and surrounding cities such as Manchester and Sheffield. We have enjoyed excellent year on year growth and the Leeds team now numbers 110, all based in our waterside offices at Brewery Wharf.
Our multi-disciplinary team provides a full range of structural, building services, infrastructure and ground engineering; beyond this, Leeds has been instrumental in the growth of specialist consulting services throughout the practice, supporting the specific needs of our clients.
Our engineers work as proactive members of the design team alongside architects and other professionals, combining general and specialist expertise as required. Above all, our team has a passion for creative problem solving and for delivering the best value solutions for our clients.
In common with other Buro Happold offices, we operate to an international standard while offering the added benefits of detailed knowledge of local markets. We have gained a reputation for technical innovation and for our ability to provide inspired engineering on a wide variety of projects, both large and small.
The Royal Armouries Museum and Clarence Dock regeneration in Leeds are prime examples of our multi-disciplinary approach. Other major projects include the Sheffield Winter Garden, the Sterling Prize-winning Magna Science Adventure Centre, the Lowry Centre and the Leeds City Museums Discovery Centre.
At Buro Happold Leeds we are proud of our achievements in the north of England and look forward to contributing further to the region’s prosperity, the quality of its built environment and the wellbeing of its communities.
