Our thorough understanding of the local market and regulatory environment enables us to develop appropriate solutions for a wide range of developments.
A growing awareness of the economic and social benefits of sustainable design has led to an increasing demand in the US for energy-efficient buildings that aspire to be different. As a result of our expertize in environmental engineering, we have been involved in many high profile projects throughout the US, including the Dallas opera house and Genzyme HQ in Boston ? one of a handful of buildings to have been awarded the coveted LEED platinum rating.
Since its opening, the Los Angeles office has continued to carry on the Buro Happold tradition of exciting and technically challenging projects including; the Harvard University Allston Science Complex and Harvard University Museum of Art both in Boston, MA and the Robert and Arlene Kogod Courtyard at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery and Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC.
In 2007 Buro Happold opened two additional offices in the North American region. Buro Happold Boston and Toronto were established to enable the practice to further extend its geographical reach, and to allow for the best possible service to be provided to our clients based in those regions.
